The Student Induction Programme – NEXUS 2025 was inaugurated in the college seminar hall on 2nd September 2025, marking the beginning of the new academic year 2025-26.
The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting by the Chief Guest Dr. Deepak Shikarpur , renowned technopreneur and IT expert, along with Hon'ble Shri Dharmaraj Kadadi ,President of Shri Siddheshwar Devasthan Trust, Solapur.
In the keynote address, Dr. Deepak Shikarpur emphasised that the era of Artificial Intelligence(AI) demands not only knowledge but also creativity, skills, and a problem-solving mindset. He urged students to stay up-to-date in emerging domains such as Data Science, Machine Learning, IoT, and Cybersecurity. He further highlighted the importance of Prompt Engineering as a skill that enhances learning and creativity through AI, opening pathways to lucrative careers as AI experts, content creators, and data analysts. He also encouraged students to learn foreign languages such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese to expand global career opportunities.
In the presidential address, Hon'ble Shri Dharmaraj Kadadi, congratulated the newly admitted students and directed them to choose career paths that align with their interests while also considering the needs of society. He extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.
Our Principal,Dr. T. A. Chavan, welcomed the students on behalf of the college and shared the institution’s journey and achievements since its establishment briefly. He encouraged students not to limit education to earning a degree but to embrace modern technologies like AI to unlock future opportunities. He further urged them to extend their horizons beyond academics by developing innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, and a global outlook to succeed in the fast-changing world.
Dr. Avinash Patil, Head of the First-Year Department, explained the objectives of the student induction programme. The event was coordinated by Prof. Ashwini Nimbane and anchored by Prof. Pooja Biradar. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Gajanan Dharane (Principal, Shri Siddheshwar Women’s Polytechnic), Prof. Shreyas Aland, Rotarians Mr. Siddheshwar Gaddam, Mr. Ganesh Irabatti, Mr. Ramesh Kamtam, Mr. Kashinath Kuntla, and Mr. Vitthal Vanga. Heads of Departments, faculty members, and the newly admitted First-Year and Direct Second-Year students also actively participated, making the programme a memorable and inspiring beginning to the academic journey.
